Treasury Systems Analyst at Union Systems Limited
Job Purpose: The Treasury Systems Analyst will be responsible for advising and assisting in the design, development, and implementation of key software applications for the company. This role involves working closely with internal stakeholders, including other treasury professionals and IT teams, to ensure that applications such as the trade and treasury management systems are tailored to meet the organization’s and customers’ needs. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping the functionality, efficiency, and usability of these applications. The ideal candidate should be skilled and knowledgeable in the implementation and support of financial or business software.
Essential Duties:
- System Design, Development & Implementation:
- Assist in the design, development, and enhancement of treasury applications such as trade and treasury management systems, cash management, liquidity forecasting, and risk management tools.
- Gather business requirements from treasury and trade stakeholders and translate them into technical specifications for the development teams.
- Provide advice and recommendations on system architecture and design to ensure that applications meet customer needs and improve treasury operations
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with treasury professionals, business users, and IT developers to define system requirements, features, and functionalities.
- Conduct workshops, meetings, and interviews with business units and clients to collect feedback and ensure applications align with user needs and regulatory requirements.
- Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Support the testing of new applications and features by preparing test cases and identifying potential issues or areas for improvement.
- Conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and ensure that solutions meet quality and business expectations.
- User Training & Support:
- Provide training and support to end-users on how to effectively use the treasury applications.
- Work with the documentation team to develop user documentation and materials to ensure the successful adoption of the applications.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in treasury technology and software solutions.
- Identify areas of improvement and recommend updates or enhancements to improve application efficiency and user experience.
- Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
- Assist with troubleshooting issues and resolving technical problems related to treasury applications.
- Liaise with internal IT teams or external vendors to resolve any application-related issues.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in treasury management, finance, or systems analysis
- Experience with treasury management systems, financial software, or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of financial systems, software design, and development methodologies. Proficiency in relevant programming languages like SQL and report generation and writing

Senior Treasury Manager – Head Office, Lagos
Job Purpose: This role will lead the treasury function by managing liquidity, mitigating financial risks, and optimizing capital resources to ensure business continuity and profitability in a challenging macroeconomic environment.
Essential Duties:
- Secure short- & long-term funding for working capital, trade, and project finance.
- Forecast cash requirements and execute financing decisions.
- Manage short, medium, and long-term debt and investment strategies.
- Offer professional advice on managing FX, liquidity, and interest rate risks.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international banks.

HEAD, TREASURY MARKETING
Job Purpose:Primarily responsible for overseeing the entire Treasury Marketing Unit of the Bank while working closely with Team Members to drive business revenue as well as maintaining mutually beneficial relationship with Customers.
Essential Duties:
- Develop treasury marketing strategies and campaigns designed to meet Customer’s investment needs.
- Effectively monitor the selling of treasury products by organizing training programs and updating business units on treasury product developments
- Work closely with other functional Units in managing Customers’ investments, liquidation and rollover.
- Manage market storms and targeted advertising periodically to ensure wide reach to prospective clients.
- Responsible for the Bank’s entire Treasury Team (Treasury Marketers, Deposit Mobilizers, and DSAs), and ensure that they are regularly trained and brought up to speed with market trends and investment strategies.
- Periodically prepare and render Treasury Marketing reports to the Managing Director as and when due.
- Advise new and existing Customers on investment products and opportunities.
- Supervise the negotiation of suitable investment rates for both the Bank and Customers to ensure a smooth Treasury Management
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of an HND/B.Sc. in any discipline. Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
- 10 – 15 years of experience in the financial sector, preferably in Microfinance or Commercial Banking.

TREASURY MARKETER(HNI)
Job Purpose:Primarily responsible for sourcing and persuading high-end corporate and individual customers to deposit money into a fixed bank account as well as maintaining client relationship and deposit retention. Will also be responsible for managing accounts and deposits of the Bank’s Directors, MDs of other SBUs, and Key Stakeholders
Essential Duties:
- Source for new high-end customers and advising them to deposit money.
- Maintaining existing deposit clients.
- Periodically advising clients of the status of their deposit.
- Ensure the form for opening a fixed deposit account is adequately completed and registered.
- Work with the team to develop and implement a business development plan to improve the deposit mobilization and retention of deposit and also manage withdrawal attrition.
- Contribute to the development of innovative savings products in line with customer needs.
- Create and enhance new methods for rewarding depositors with interest on ordinary and fixed deposits.
- Marketing and sale of all bank’s deposit products.
